The revolutionary Celebrity Edge – created in collaboration with A-list architects and designers, including Kelly Hoppen MBE, Tom Wright and Patricia Urquiola – is poised to redefine how discerning travellers experience the world.

Celebrity Edge marks a turning point in the industry’s approach to ship design and is the first ship to be conceptualised completely in 3-D. One of the biggest influences of Edge was the desire to make the destination experience even more immersive – starting right on board.  Celebrity Edge has a unique, outward-facing design that breaks from traditional ship design. Guests will feel more connected with the sea and destinations visited through a variety of spaces, but is realised most dramatically through the transformational Edge Stateroom with Infinite Balcony, and the much-talked-about Magic Carpet.

Designed by Kelly Hoppen, Celebrity Edge’s accommodation has been evolved to dramatically expand the size of staterooms and offer guests the ultimate in modern luxury and comfort. The new Edge Stateroom with Infinite Balcony turns guest quarters into a seamless space, from the room’s door all the way to the water’s edge. The simple touch of a button gives guests open-air access to the sea, bringing the outside in and the inside out. Guests can take complete control of their stateroom and personalise everything from lighting, shades, temperature and service – even choosing a setting to tuck them in or gently wake them.

With more than double the number of suites than on Celebrity Cruises’ current fleet, new and exciting options include two Iconic Suites situated above the ship’s bridge, featuring mind-blowing views from the panoramic windows enveloping the dining room, living room and bedrooms; six split-level Edge Villas offering stunning views from two stories of windows, private plunge pools and direct walk-out access to the private suite enclave, The Retreat Sundeck; and the Retreat Sundeck, which offers a private utopia to all suite guests and will rival any high-end resort with The Retreat Pool, The Retreat Lounge and Luminae, serving modern, electric cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The size of a tennis court and scaling 16 decks of the ship, the Magic Carpet is the world’s first cantilevered, floating venue. An incredible engineering feat, it also transforms into different guest experiences throughout the day and night. At the summit of the ship on Deck 16, the Magic Carpet offers the ultimate dining experience with ‘Dinner on the Edge’ for 100 guests; alongside Deck 14 it becomes an open-air expansion of the main pool area; on Deck 5 it extends one of the ship’s speciality restaurants offering amazing al fresco seating near the water’s edge; and at its lowest position on Deck 2, the Magic Carpet becomes a luxury embarkation station where guests will be whisked away aboard sleek Edge Launches.

Spanning three decks at the aft of the ship with almost 7,000 sq. ft. of glass, Eden has more outward-facing glass than any other room at sea. It is a design and architectural feat, brought to life in collaboration with internationally-renowned visionaries, to create a unique venue that results in an individualised, ever-evolving theatrical journey that puts guests at the epic centre of the performance.

A new ship opens up the possibility for new experiences, and with that in mind, Celebrity Cruises has carefully curated a new shore excursion programme that offers exclusive, authentic and locally inspired experiences for this cutting-edge ship.

Celebrity Edge will alternate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries before relocating for Barcelona and Rome for summer 2019, offering 7- to 11-night sailing , including a cruise from Southampton.
