Designed around a 8m salt water swimming pool, these luxurious villas offer a fantastic new design option. Featuring a dedicated entertainment space, full dining area and pantry, jacuzzi bathtub as well as separated his and hers walk-in closets, the stunning villas provide a lovely secret oasis on Koh Samui’s most stylish island.
Filled with astonishing works of art and sculptures, The Library and its surroundings boast a balance of nature and culture, in which verdant gardens, blue waters and pale beaches are offset by a bold colour scheme dominated by white, red and grey. The hotel’s signature red pool, selected by Trip Advisor as one of the world’s most fantastic swimming pools, offers a public space that dazzles with colour and sophisticated style, and overlooks the white sand and turquoise ocean.
The new villas complement the property’s current 26 rooms, each of which provides guests with a glimpse of age-old trees, lovingly preserved during construction of the property. A member of the Design Hotels, the interiors are bathed in an ultra-minimalist palette, completed with modern facilities such as large-screen televisions with Blu-ray players and iMac computers with high-speed Internet connection.
The project was shaped by the hands of an island local who was inspired by books and a simple lifestyle philosophy. “The book is never out of date,” says Mr Kasemtham Sornsong, owner and managing director of The Library, who was inspired to create a new icon for the island, reflecting the enthusiasm and modern artistry of the young local Samui generation.
