If you are looking for a jacket in which you can batten down the hatches when the temperature plummets, then you can always rely on Berghaus to come up with the goods. I have been checking out the latest winter iteration, the Ronnas Reflect Insulation Down jacket, and it most certainly does not disappoint. Being down, you can expect it to be light, although I was not expecting the Ronnas to be so incredibly featherweight. For an insulated, high performance down jacket, it is perfect for mountain walks on brisk winter days. The Ronnas is filled with ethically sourced, 600 fill hydrophobic hydro down, which has been treated with Nikwax, thereby ensuring that you stay warm throughout the day, even in wet weather. The Ronnas also boasts an internal reflective lining that re-directs heat back to your core, giving you up to 20 per cent more warmth. Features include a Pertex Quantum outer, body mapped insulation, a fully adjustable hood, elasticated cuffs and hem, internal, chest and hand warmer pockets, full frontal zip, and full lined interior.
